Newcastle have to sell before they buy this summer as the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules prevent them from spending freely. Minteh scored 10 goals and registered five assists in 27 games for Feyenoord last season, impressing Slot and his coaching staff. The Gambia international has also already made four appearances for his national side and is just 19-years-old.

Minteh's future depends on the departures at Newcastle. Should major departures of Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak happen, Minteh may remain at the club. What is for certain, however, is Minteh will be playing at a top level next season.
