Despite being top performers at Stamford Bridge, The Times have reported that the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital-led club may be ready to approve the sales of James and Gallagher. The sale of the duo would reflect as a total profit in the club's finances due to them being 'homegrown talents.'

As a result, they run the risk of breaking the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules, just like Everton and Nottingham Forest, who have already received their penalties.
