  • Sancho unlikely to stay at Man Utd
  • Has impressed on loan at BVB
  • Arsenal could provide fresh start
  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Sancho has been an outcast at Manchester United since Erik ten Hag took over but is thriving on loan in Germany. Petit believes Arsenal could reap the rewards by signing the England international in a similar way to how they revived Kai Havertz's career after a sticky spell at Chelsea.

    WHAT PETIT SAID

Speaking to, Petit said: "I was saying how impressed I was with Jadon Sancho in the Champions League on commentary – he looks like a new player, so fit, thin and explosive. He’s like dynamite on the pitch, so explosive on the ball with [Karim] Adeyemi on the left flank – so hard to catch. He’s back to his best and Man United look so far away from them, so if Arsenal want him, why not? You can put the best player in the world at Man United at the moment and they’d look average in two months."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Sancho has scored three goals and registered one assist in all competitions for Dortmund since returning to the club on loan in January. He could still end the campaign as a European champion, as the German side meet Real Madrid in the Champions League final next month.

    WHAT NEXT FOR SANCHO?

Dortmund are heading to Wembley for the Champions League final and there is no better stage for Sancho to prove he still has what it takes to perform at the top level. Winning the coveted trophy would likely increase his stocks even more and drum up significant interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
